I see him clearly in my head.
His intelligent eyes,
the poofy lips curling in a smile.
Yet he can't see me.
I hear him loudly in my head.
His enticing laughter,
the sound of him saying my name.
Yet he can't hear me.
I feel his touch in my head.
His rough, calloused hands,
the brushing of my body against his.
Yet he can't touch me.
I can love him in my head.
His arms hugging me close,
the sweet words he'll never say.
Yet he doesn't love me.
